Skinned Cloth on small portion of character mesh
I painted the max distance on the vertices correctly for the skinned cloth (even if there were some annoying black vertices I could not paint). Nothing happens when only a small portion of the character mesh is painted with max distance higher than zero. If I select all the vertices and set max distance to more than zero then it works but it wont work when only some of the character mesh is painted.
I do not want to split my character mesh because of shader problems and the black vertices make it hard to paint the seam closed. I am also texture painting in 3D view of Blender so its best to have the character mesh together for quick editing. I really wish the skinned mesh component was as easy as painting the vertices that it works on. Please help.
Here is a link I found about the unpaintable black vertices. Not sure if it helps or not.
