All assets suddenly missing?
Hey everyone, I started up Unity today and it popped up a dialog saying "Your licence is expired" or something similar, which isn't a problem because I have Unity Free in the first place, so I just clicked "use Unity Free" and didn't think much of it. When my project opened, everything was broken! Everything was in the correct places, but the assets folder was empty, and all the scripts, textures, and some of the sounds were missing from the scenes, making them completely un-usable.
I opened another project to see if it had happened there to, but the other projects worked just like any other day. I also checked to make absolutely sure the folder on the computer hadn't been deleted or something, and it had not.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? All help is appreciated, and thanks in advance,
-Cole
you can also check the physical folder in windows to see if the files are actually missing. but yeah as pindwin said : CTRL+R :)

Have you tried deleting the Library folder inside your project from Explorer? Try that and let Unity rebuild your project.
edit: make sure you make a backup tho

Unity has some issues with OSX High Sierra
https://forum.unity.com/threads/unity-and-macos-10-13-high-sierra.474527/
same problem here... after updating to high sierra, unity thinks my assets folder is empty deleting library folder does not work grrrrr!!!
backup project... select library folder... install upgraded version of unity.... ...and pray to the program$$anonymous$$g gods of old. Our Alan Turing. Who art in heaven. Give us this code, our daily backup. Deliver us from updates. Thyne is the processing power. Ada Lovelace forever. Amen. ... .. ok project imported ok. program$$anonymous$$g gods were listening. One of my old projects needs to be on old unity physics version though so that is screwed :/
After updating my $$anonymous$$ac to Sierra10.13.2 all my Unity assets disappeared. Assets folder was simply empty. In Finder the assets where showing, just not showing up inside Unity.
I updated Unity to 2017.3.0f.3 and it completely solved the problem :)
Same here, 5.5.2 fail import , and upgrade to 5.5.4p4 still fail.
