Using Kinect's depth to generate a mesh at runtime
Hello to the community,
I'm new to unity and i need to generate a 3d mesh using the depth data obtained by the kinect, at runtime. Currently i found the way to obtain the depth data and stored it in a 1D array. What are the possible ways to do this? Also can i use directly the KinectFusion from C# that does the same thing? What else may i consider?
Thanks
Dear sir or madam,
You are opening up a huge box of worms. That sounds really hard. I am sorry that I don't have any good advice to give you, aside from this:
Godspeed.
Sincerely, Dev who has worked on Durango $$anonymous$$inect in a AAA title
Well thanks for the answer. The task i mentioned is for my university theseis. I know it is difficult but is there any possible solution? This is implemented already with $$anonymous$$inectFusion in a WPF application using C#. Is there any way to transfer it to Unity?
Thanks,
Constandinos
