Endless runner ground movement
Hi guys, i am having a serious problem, with my runner game, so a little about it, so the system i am using is keeping the player still and moving the ground, basically as you swipe up with the mouse/ touch screen your speed increases so the ground moves faster, as the ground reaches a value i move the ground section to the back of the queue. so my problem is this, once i reach faster speeds the ground sections begin to pull away from each other
so i was wondering if anyone could help me solve this issue
What do you mean by "pull away"? How does the system actually work?
If they pull away from one another, I'm guessing that means that you are moving each piece independently. If you are moving each piece independently, they will only pull away from each other if there is some movement error. $$anonymous$$aybe you are not moving each piece at the same speed for some reason?
For what it's worth, you might want to use transform parenting to keep things moving together. If you make all your pieces children of a master transform and then move that master transform, the pieces should never pull apart from each other because they are positioned relative to the same parent. Another option is to always have the nearest piece be the parent, and make all following pieces children of that piece. Then, you just always pull the parent piece and all children move along with it.
