Use Parent to fix the rotation of character
Hi, I export one character from 3dmax, but Unity change its X/Z axis. Official advised use parent to solve this problem. But I don't know how to control parent to play my child character's animation.Shall I add all scripts of my child character to parent? But parent now is an empty object, I try to add "charactercontroller" and "playanimation "script to it. But it's also no animation when played game. Can anyone can help me lol

yes you are right, you now need to have a reference of your child and play animations on it cause the animation component is in it.
why don't you change the rotation in max to fix the problem outside of unity forever?
You mean change the pivot in max? Or just change rotation. I have tried rotation but in Unity X axis still have 270 rotation- -! Can you give more details about how to play animation of child. What shall I add before use animation...like animation.CrossFade("Run")...I don't not know well in parent use. Thanks a lot!
