Configuring Input
Hey guys,
I'm working on getting the XBox 360 controller to work on my game. I can get my player to do the things I need it to like move, jump, and fire. The problem is these are all hard coded into my code. How can I make it so that I can easily swap buttons around if a player decides they want X to jump instead of Y?
I found this webiste that has exactly what I want. The only problem is I don't really understand what to do with this code. I'm working in C#. If someone can give me a sample of code like this with comments explaining what's going on that would be great. I don't even know the question I should be asking. How do I assign a class to a button? How do I get buttons to switch commands? I feel like I'm just barely scratching the surface on this problem.
