Unity 3 crashes on importing 3DSmax2009 x64 assets
Hi, I'm currently having problems importing a 3DSmax 2009 scene in Unity3. I just installed it on my windows xp 64, and can not import the 3DS scene I have since Unity freeze when importing it.
I updated the FBX module for my version of 3DSmax 2009, so the problem is elsewhere.
Important, this very same scene is well imported on other PCs with similar configuration, so it's no corrupted file.
I'm pretty convinced that the problem comes from 3DS max (with which I encountered some problems before, crashing on scenes with more than 10 million polys)
If someone has an idea of how I solve that, I'll be glad

It's a workaround, but you should be able to export FBX or collada (DAE) formats to import manually into Unity, while you search for a resolution. At least it will allow you to continue working in some scope.
