how to create new project by copying from another one?
I created a new project and copied Assets and ProjectSettings folders from another project. I did not copy Libraries and Temp folders. Of course the name of new project is different. It works fine on the Unity simulator. But It does not work on Android phone. When I am doing 'Build and Run', it stops with a message 'Not a file' like this. No APK file.
Error: Not a file '/Users/davidkim/MyNewProject' UnityEditor.HostView:OnGUI()
Did I miss something? Should I do something more after copying? Any comments will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This is the list of the project folder... Folders: Assets, Library, ProjectSettings, Temp Files: Assembly-CSharp-firstpass-vs.csproj, Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.csproj, Assembly-CSharp-vs.csproj, Assembly-CSharp.csproj, Myproject-csharp.sin, Myproject.sin, Myproject.userprefs

I think that there are some absolute paths involved and therefore can´t simply copy all your stuff. To solve it I create a unity package containing all my proyect files and then extract it into a new proyect.
Thanks for your comments. I am new to Unity so I don't exactly understand what you mean. Do I need to make the whole project a package, import it into the new project and extract it ? Or need to make some parts a package, such as assets ? Sorry for asking more.
You create a unity package simply by clicking "Assets -> Export package..." and then selecting all the files in your proyect. After that create a new proyect, double click the nameofyoupackage.unityproyect file (wherever you saved it) and click on "import all". And that´s how it´s done!
It worked !!!!! I just did it. Ah, one thing, I copied tagmanager.asset. That was it. I thought I couldn't make it alone. Thanks a million. You have a wonderful year 2014~~~~~~~~!!!!
Glad I could help! Your are right about tagmanager.asset, I didn´t think about it, otherwise you would have had to write your tags all over again. By the way if you are happy with the answer you might want to accept it so other people can look at it when they have a similar issue.
I have a similar problem, and I thought this might be the answer. But my previously installed application was still replaced by my new one on my Android device.
How can I copy a project, but create a unique build for Android?
