Question by TurkCheeps · Dec 02, 2013 at 05:27 PM · build errorassetstoresubmit

Build error when Submitting to asset store after upload.

When I submit to asset store which I have done many times before with similar assets I get a build error telling me I need Unity pro and will not complete the submit. I am only subitting character geo with rig and diffuse textures and basic unlit materials. I did find someone with same issue they reinstalled and seemed to fix everything I tried aswell a few time no luck same error appears. this error appears on all geo and texture and materials i am trying to submit.

Building Asset Bundles requires Unity PRO UnityEditorInternal.AssetStoreToolUtils:BuildAssetStoreAssetBundle(Object, String) AssetBundler4:CreateBundle(Object, String) MainAssetsUtil:CreateBundle(String) AssetStorePackage:UploadAssetBundles() AssetStorePackage:m_29(String) cAnonStorey6:<>m6(AssetStoreResponse) AssetStoreClient:m_1A(Pending) System.Collections.Generic.List`1:RemoveAll(Predicate`1) AssetStoreClient:Update() UnityEditor.EditorApplication:Internal_CallUpdateFunctions()

Thanks in advanced.

I had the same problem after installing Unity 4.3. I found a solution in the forum.

  1. Uninstall Unity (I removed the webplayer as well).

  2. Delete everything Unity related in the registry database.

  3. Reboot

  4. Reinstall Unity

This worked for me.

If I delete Unity and everything related to it, won't I just lose my assets?

No, because you'll back up your project first :)

I ended up installing an older version of Unity and this resolved the issue for me i realize this may not be an option for some.
