Fake specular shader for a sphere?
I want to achieve a specular effect without a normal specular shader. So essentially I want the regular ball texture to roll around but also overlay a fake specular highlight that doesn't change with the orientation of the ball.
I anticipate this kind of effect will be a lot more processor friendly and doesn't require any special hardware (I'm developing on mobiles.)
I'm not very experienced with writing shaders so while I could combine two textures, I couldn't figure out how to make the second texture stationary.
Thank you!

you may be able to do it this way:
http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/class-Projector.html
use a texture that matches the type of specular you want, now you just need to find a way to make it only project on to the ball and nothing else.
