FYI, given just how many high priority feature requests are being implemented in Unity 3.0 (yea!) this request may be up for consideration for the next round of development.

Take a look on their UserVoice site and vote it up if you care about it.

No, Unity supports bone animation only.

There are plenty of Morphing/Blendshape systems in the asset store

Unity 4.3 now supports blendshapes, and we released a faceshift plugin for unity yesterday, so now you can even easily animate those blendshapes: http://www.faceshift.com/unity/

Hi brian.amberg,

Right now I'm triyng to export a object with blendshapes (morph targets in 3Ds $$anonymous$$ax), I check the morph option in the FBX exporter, everything goes ok, but I really don't know what to do to make it work in Unity, I've searched for it non stop but it seens that there is nothing explaing how the blendshapes works in unity.

So, Unity documentation/manual doesn't say anything about it to, do you know were do I can learn more about it? I don't want to use Facelift, just wanna make my morphs in 3D max and use it in Unity.

Thanks!

You just drag the fbx into unity, and you will be able to see the blendshapes in the attribute inspector.

$$anonymous$$aybe if you have a look at the example scene in the faceshift unity plugin this gives you a hint? You can download it from http://www.faceshift.com/unity/.
