How can I get game data from a specified file?
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to have unity get game stats for an object from basically a text file of some kind. For instance have unity fill stats for a vehicle from a text file that list the vehicles in-game name, health, armor, speed, cost, turn rate, turret min/max angles, etc. In addition, would it be possible to keep this file intact after a build in Unity so it can be "modded"?
you just have to look up how to read and write to/from files. for example like this
the rest is just a matter of reading the content of the file and handling it in the game (basically getting all your variables from the file and assigning them to your vehicle or whatever else you have in your game)
