How to get currently playing song in Windows Media Player?

I need to know whether or not a song is playing in Windows Media Player. I have tried using WMPLib to do this, yet it tells me that WMPLib is missing. I have tried downloading WMPLib from a few places and adding it to the references, but Unity still tells me that the directive or assembly is missing. There's a chance I haven't downloaded the right one, so if you find a way for that to work, let me know.

Either a fix for WMPLib or a completely different method would be great. Thanks!
