Cant import music and sound
Yesterday i made a short track (10 sec) on garageband on my mac. I send it over mail to my pc and dragged it into unity. But instead of the waves icon that always is there with sound in unity, its a paper icon with a note on. Well i cant use it and i dont know how to fix it. I tried converting the soundfile to m4a, wav, mp3 but none of them worked. And how i converted the sound, was to delete the end of the name where it says the form, and write in other one. It works fine that way, but it still doesnt in unity. How can i import sounds to unity the right way?
What was the file format that you exported from Garageband? It needs to be in one of the formats listed in the documentation. I am pretty sure Garageband will allow you to export to a format that is usable by Unity (did you maybe save a Garageband project file ins$$anonymous$$d of exporting to an audio file?) . If not, then you may need a separate program to convert your audio file to a correct format (changing the file extension alone does not automatically convert the file for you)
The file format was m4a. I exportet the track to itunes, because i couldt fine any button saying only export. And i couldnt change anything there. But ill look again :-)!
Sounds like you may need to search around for an m4a to mp3 converter to get the file into a format that Unity can handle.
