How can I create contrail effect of a Specific character or object in motion?

I am doing game designing and i have decided to make a game that will need this contrail effect while in motion. I want to know how to create it. My game got a character that will need this effect while in motion. i have no clue how to do it as i have not got much help regarding this issue. Thanks in Advance alt text

The Trail Renderer is used to make trails behind objects in the scene as they move about.
