Unity not diplaying properly at 256mb Graphics
Hello. I have a nice little GUI set up which has a 3d Model.
The problem is if the PC running the GUI has 256Mb of Graphics RAM or less the model will not display. The model its self is not the issue here either as i am a pretty good modeler and its extreamly low poly (less than 10k verts which is good for a human model). I also have run this on a laptop which had about 300mb GRAM and it runs fine on there.
I can honestly say the 2 PCs which cannot display the model should in fact be able to as i have spent quite a lot of time making them almost as good as brand new.
Is there any way of telling unity its ok if they dont have more than 256Mb RAM and to just run it anyway?
It's unlikely that it's the number of vertices that would exceed your GPU memory - it'll be the textures. What sort of material are you using, and what textures does it use?
both unity materials, one light blue with a 3.0 emission value, the other a shadeless black. Both are set not to cast shadows. I don't need anything extreme for the UI so i went basic as possible. I originally cut the verts from 600k to 10k for better performance but i cant cut it down further.
