Can't change Material Color in Unity 4.2?
Hi, I recently upgraded to Unity 4.2, and now I create a Material in Project window, and left click on it, and all I can change is the shader. How do I change the color? (Not in script, but in editor window)
Here is the screencap of my unity editor window. Is it a bug ?

Try clicking the YelkovanMaterial. It looks like the material view has been collapsed.
I had this the other day! The user interface does not make it clear that the material has been collapsed or even how to expand it again. This seems to be a design issue and worth reporting to Unity Technologies imo. Further more, when inspecting a material directly, why would you ever want these properties to be hidden away?
numberkruncher is right. Somebody should report it to Unity :)
This has caught me out a few times...definitely needs a change in UI
