Is it possible to import only "selected" meshes from a file? [Modo]
I have Modo lxo file in which I have low/highpoly and collider meshes. It is getting very slow every time I save my .lxo file because unity imports also highpoly meshes, which I don't need in unity.
So is there an option from where I could select which meshes should be imported?
Wouldn't you rather export only selected (lower poly)?
Unfortunately there is no option export selected in $$anonymous$$odo. But there are scripts which will do that. Haven't tried yet.

Not really. It would be nice if Captain Obvious would have lived up to his namesake, and said where to get the scripts in question: http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=66465
Fortunately, it's easy to drag an item to a new LXO, and export that.
While I had only collider meshes and some lowpoly templates it was so easy and fast to use ctrl+s and jump to unity and everything was updated in a second.
In modo it's possible to make references of items from other file, haven't used it, but I think it could be useful for this. Edit the scene with all meshes and make other scene that has references/instances of lowpoly meshes. When needed export/save scene with lowpoly meshes
found this scirpt: http://www.modonize.com/Scripts/default.aspx
