How to get distortion effect in 2D?
I'm looking into how to do a short, localized distortion effect in Unity 2D, something like this little explosion in Axiom Verge:
The part I'm talking about is how at the very end of the explosion, the pixels behind the distortion seem "bent" in a sort of small shockwave.
What's the best way to do this? Do I need to write a custom shader for it?
