Is it possible to add velocity to mecanim animation?

Hey

I'm using this character pack in my game https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/#/content/12495 It is fully rigged for Mecanim and the animations are working, only the Root Motion isn't working. When I imported the animation I noticed in the Inspector that the velocity of the animation is 0.0 on all axes. Is there a way to change this in Unity without having to go in Maya/Max?
