              MonoDevelop Debug starts Unity, but not the application to debug
When I try to use MonoDevelop to use the debugger for Unity, Unity is started and the project is loaded, but the application is not started, I have to hit manually the play button, but then both applications get stuck ...
Any thoughts?

That's how it works. You might be able to modify Unity.exe command line arguments to auto-play on start. But would it be worth it? I typically press play and stop numerous times during a debug session, it's much faster than re-running the editor each time.
