Not sure where to ask this. (3D Modeling, Blender, Unity)
So the best software I have found, in my opinion for 3D modeling is Blender so far. I am quite good at making models "Look" good in blender. But, when I send them to unity, its as if the model went through a worm hole back to 2001, then conveniently coming out next to a vicious dog that mangled it to pieces. I know that it is because of my modeling skills such as understanding normals, and so on. As far as topology goes I am very good with that. What I am curious is where can I find recourses/tutorials (Preferably free) on making models specificly for Unity? I just need two or three examples of a complete process modeling lets say a house, UV wrapping it, texturing, exporting, and importing to unity. Not so much as a blender only tutorial. I mean I understand pretty much every modifier and technics for modeling. Any links / references would be appreciated.
And you've tried Smooth shading? ;)
Look up the Rotation Fix
Yeah, smooth shading, multi-resolution, subsurface, all work well. But Its mainly the apply texture/materials I can mark seems, UV Unwrap, but then i have issues with apply textures to individual parts of the object, and then in unity the textures will be streched or zoomed/faraway
As long as you UV-unwrap the parts and draw your texture according to the UV all should fit and look good.
Blender doesnt export materials or shaders to Unity.
