How do I get the License for the Unity Engine?
I understand that the Unity Engine is free for commercial use, but from what I've heard, you still need a free license to publish games that will be used commercially. I may be wrong on that, but if I'm not, how do I get the License for the basic Unity Engine?
Download and install Unity Free version from the Unity web site.
The free version comes with the license and you're able to publish that provided that you're not "Commercial", which I believe they're classifying as making > 100k in a year (from the game).
Provided that's not the case, use it freely and publish. You already know the gap between free and pro I'm guessing, the biggest in terms of publishing is the Unity splash screen.
