Android publishing problem
Hi I've just created an android game and it's ready to go on sale, but when I try to upload it a message comes up on google saying, you uploaded a file signed in debug mode, please upload a different file. Is this a unity thing and how do I sort it out.
Thanks in advanced
Did you disable the development build mode ? Or did you use a correct key in the android parameters ?
You need to make sure that the "Development Build" checkbox is unchecked when you build your project.
File > Build Settings... > Android

What you need to do is this: Go to Project->BuildSettings->PlayerSettings-> and the go through the options until you find the place to create a new keystore. Create one and fill in the name and password. When this is done you can find it in the directory you made it and type the password. This will only work if you have jdk 6 installed. You also may need to go to the system variables and assigh the variable "PATH" to the place where keytool.exe is within the jdk. Can get really complicated which sucks, The unity people should make it easier. :D I hope that helped, any more questions pleas ask, Johnny :D
