64 bit windows missing important service patch - 3.57 on Windows 8
I receive this error every time I start Unity 3.5.7 on Windows 8:
Your 64 bit Windows installation is missing an important service pack patch. Please apply http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976038 to ensure stability.
Unfortunately the hotfixes are only for Vista and Windows 7/2008... There appears no hotfix for Windows 8?

It's a false positive. Just ignore the warning now - win8 does not need the hot fix, and a future version of Unity will avoid displaying this message.
Yeah, Unity 3.5.8 is needed. 3.5.7 is not ready for EOL. There's just too many things that only run in Unity 3.
