Question by Ckmlee · Apr 07, 2013 at 03:15 AM · cameraanimation clipfirst person

Animating Unity camera?

Is it possible to animate the camera in Unity, and show that camera view as an animation clip in the middle of the game? Is there a script that I can use?

What I want to do is to insert an animation clip in a first person view once the player has collected all the items needed in a level of the game. The animation clip should tell the player where to go in the unity environment reach the next level.

I see. Thanks for your suggestion. I basically would like to know how to switch from first person camera view to the main / another camera view during the game.

if the player reaches a certain area you should make an animation for the main camera to show the player then make the animation go back to the player.

Thanks!

Right now I have:

//reference: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/25150/switch-between-cameras-in-javascript.html

pragma strict

function Start () {

}

var cam1 : Camera; var cam2 : Camera;

function OnTriggerEnter () {

       cam1.enabled = false; // first person camera
       cam2.enabled = true; // animated camera
       animation.Play();
  }

}

But the cameras did not switch. I am quite new to unity scripting. I maybe just missing some very basic points?
