Question by chsu · Jan 22, 2013 at 10:16 AM · monodevelopunity 4

Unity 4 upgrade: monodevelop uses high cpu when opening project

After upgrading to Unity 4, monodevelop exhibits high cpu usage and becomes unresponsive for 10-30 seconds after opening the project. Afterwards, operation returns to normal.

This happens whenever monodevelop is opened from the Unity 4 Editor.

Is this a known issue?

Have you got source control? If so then yes!

Is that it? It seems far worse compared to Unity 3.5. In 3.5 mono would never stall for that long.
