Would it be possible to use the new Water3 (w/the waves) for my idea?
I'd like to have a character in a little row boat, the new water affecting where the boat is on the waves, and being able to float and row the boat around? Also, without having the water going through my boat geometry?

That was just asked with an answer I'd kind of give you...
However with yours, sense it's on water, maybe put up some fog, limit the depth the player can see? Just suggestions for this:
You can have it so that the boat "move" up and down, so that it appears you're moving up and down, when you aren't really... If that makes sense... Well, you would be, but not completely like, with the waves... You know?
