Horizontally scrolling across children having grid layout and parent having horizontal layout
Hello, I am interested in displaying a list of products as per their categories.
I created a game object called as ParentPanel (anchor - stretch x stretch occupying entire screen). I have added Scroll view i.e. scroll rect and horizontal layout group on it because this ParentPanel contains number of child panel objects (anchor - stretch x stretch entire screen). Each child object is nothing but a panel again and it displays a specific category of products.
Child panel has a scroll view i.e. scroll rect component and Grid layout applied to it so as to arrange products in rows and columns.
In all, I want the functionality so to allow vertical scrolling within each child panel so as to view different products in that particular category. At the same time, I want to allow horizontal scrolling so that I can traverse from one child to another child panel i.e. Left Swipe and Right Swipe.
The issue that I am facing is, As each child panel has scroll rect applied on it to entire screen, it kind of overrides scroll rect component of the ParentPanel and does not allow Horizontal scrolling across child panels even though Horizontal layout group is added on ParentPanel.
Could anybody please guide on how to achieve above by undo overriding of child's scroll rect when horizontal movement is detected? or any other suggestions are welcome.
