Skybox Creation
Does anyone know of any software that will create all 6 skybox images from 1 original image? Please let me know. I've been trying to make them myself but the seams never look right.
Thanks!
Shawn
I'm not quite sure how one would create a skybox from 1 image? Does the image have all 6 sides in them?
there has to a software that can take 1 image and generate 6 images from it...that way, all the seams always look right.

I googled and found this tutorial which seems quite nice. Is this what you're looking for?
+1 I always wanted to know this too. :)
this is a great tutorial...I will have to use this solution for now. I was really hoping for a solution that would do it for me though =p
I agree, it would be nice for it to be done automatically.

If that one image were a sphere or cylinder map, Unity can do that on import of texture if type is Reflection. On the other hand, if you have a spheremap and you really need 6 images produced from it, here's my old gem from years ago: Cube The Sphere
