User move camera along path
Hi all !
Trying to figure out how to have the user move the camera along a path. So for example when the user presses the up arrow the camera follows the path one way, and the down arrow it follows the path the other way.
Any ideas on how to do that or where to start ?
Thanks !
Arnaud
I need some more information before I can fully suggest a good way of doing it, but I'm sure I can help you out.
do you have waypoints that you want to use?
or do you want the paths to be infitie long?
if none of these above, care to explain it in a bit more detail?
@winsjansen Thanks for the response ! And sorry for the lack of detail. Only because I don't have any particular way i'm looking to do it.
But I've made a quick drawing for you to show you what I'm trying to achieve. It's a circle, wether or not I'm using waypoints, a path or it's just somehow imbedded in the camera I don't know... And when the user presses the up arrow the camera goes around the circle anti clockwise, when the user presses the down arrow the camera goes around the circle clockwise.
I'm currently working on doing it just having a pivot point in the centre of the circle and rotating the camera around the pivot point. But this is very limiting.
Later down the line I would maybe like the options to have the camera be able to move out of the circle at certain points, come back in and continue to rotate around it again upon arrow press. Like in the second picture attached.
I hope this all makes sense !
