How to go about constraining a player to a path?
Hello, how would I go about constraining my character to a path like with the Z axis constrain but with a path constraint instead? (Image)https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HBBi8-vUG6gcHIj6D5wgqE6hKgDbAVUZCW4T5YCB2A0/pub?
I would like to make it so that It uses physics and can collide with objects
This file shows how It would look for the 2.5D game while still having 2D movement (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zSBB9Rh-wqYUxnMTlteS1kanc/view?usp=sharing) It is just an animation
This file is my failed attempt to using a parented object to move. I run into a problem when ever the player collides with an object and gets moved from the parent Space (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zSBB9Rh-wqdEY2ckhXZTE1R2c/view?usp=sharing) Space is Jump
(I used itween and playmaker for both of these)
Any help or advice you could provide would be extremely appreciated, Thank you
Did you see this question? http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/29352/putonpath-itween-spline-but-not-restrict-in-the-up.html
Yes it was one of the first things I saw, but it only sort of explains movement with percentage but not physics (I don't even know if it is possible with the built in physics)
I am really lost on how to deal with collision with objects so that the collisions do not set the player in the container off the path.
Thank you
