How to get the mac address of a remote IP on the LAN?
I've seen methods here on how to get the mac address of our local device but I need to be able to get the mac of a device that I'm directly connected to. Something analogous to the arp command in windows:
Ping is used here to populate the arp table from which we can get the mac address. FYI, it's to get the mac address of a wire connected(crossover) device to an android tablet .
