PhysX CPU consuption, rather then GPU
Hey,
i've been recently using Unity, and im trying to take the best @ PhysX.
The thing is, i've tested some exames, like
-> 3 models with interactive cloth
-> tons of spheres (rigidbodies) colliding with each other
The conclusion i get from it, and some other examples from the internet (like YouTube ) its that is the CPU that is consumed, not the GPU has i would like to..
this obviously limitates alot the scenes complexity.
Unity Engine Physics Here is a list of what PhysX is supose to do..
At the moment, i dont see any diference in using a nVidia PhysX Graphic card, or an ATI one.. still can't make more then 2 interactive cloth without having HARD drops on framerates.
Can anyone confirm the use of GPU on, for example, cloth? Or is there any way to redirect the math to the GPU?
Cheers

PhysX in Unity doesn't make use of any hardware specific processing. Instead it uses the PhysX software processor to maintain cross-platform compatibility.
