How do I create a realistic chain with interlocking rings and accurate physics?
Hi, I'm trying to create a realistic simulation of chain with interlocking metal rings. I tried different sort of joints (character joints, configurable joints) with different settings, but the result does not end up looking realistic. The chain is very bouncy and starts moving randomly, also the rings don't actually touch each other (no collision), they just sort of float. I tried using a convex mesh collider, as well as just a (bounding) box collider, both of which drastically change the behaviour of the chain. Does anyone know what the best approach is to get a realistic chain, and how the colliders interact with the different joints?
