Question by Serve_Hermans · Jun 08, 2011 at 07:09 PM · ioslightingiphonespotlight

Spotlights on iPhone game suddenly are all dead. Any thoughts?

I was working on my game today when suddenly all spotlights in all scenes are dead. This of course does not happen in de editor where things are looking ok. Strange as I did not change other stages. After I build and run the game on my iPhone 4 the spotlights now dont add lighting to the scene at all. Any thoughts are more than welcome!

I have checked the player settings (both editor and mobile set to the same), 2 pixel counts, increased to 4 to test, no difference. I have checked the lights. Changed render mode to important (used to be auto).

Thanks in advance!

I have absolutely no idea but somehow the lights are back on! I only loaded the project, selected from the Graphics emulation again the option iPhone 4.... OpenGL ES 2.0, selected my lights in the scene (showing blue meaning linked to prefab), selected each light and clicked Revert in the inspector to revert back to the prefab. Selected build and run and suddenly all lights in all stages are back again, working as they should. Strange, keeps my really puzzled!

careful with active lights on an iPhone game, to have more than one can skill your framerate, specially for older phones like the 3g and 3gs
