Unity 2018.1 Android VR Shows Black Screen
In the editor play mode all works fine, I installed the Google VR cardboard and set up the requeriments in the Lightweight Render Pipeline for the camera, but when I compile the app and run it on my Samsung S8+ all I see is a black screen with the line in the center, the options button and the close button.
Any information helps, thank you.

Anybody who having this problems still in 2021 should try under project settings after enabling Virtual reality supported in XR setting and choosing Cardboard to go in Other settings-Graphics API-s and enable OpenGLES 2 and with mouse drag above OpenGLES3 and Vulkan.
thank you so much. I've watched dozens of videos since the night, I visited dozens of forums, and I will sleep comfortably end

You have to use Single Pass rendering. LW pibeline doesnt work with multipass (yet?) atleast thats what i found out. Biggest problem is that not all phones support Singlepass rendering. But I made it work on the S7 with Gear VR by changing that.
You change this in the XR Settings in under Project settings -> Player

I am not sure this is exact the problem you have, but when I had troubles with Google Cardboard on LeEco Le Max 2 phone in my app which used GVR library. This worked for me:
I installed Google Cardboard and Google VR services
In VR mode- settings under Developer Options checked Enable GVR Library loading -> On
