Question by SirMacJefferson · Aug 19, 2011 at 07:37 AM · cameraeditorscenefpsview

Unity Scene View's right-click + WASD doesn't look 3D anymore?

For some reason, holding Right-click in a Scene tab and then hitting any of the WASD keys to move around FPS-style got kind of weird on me. It doesn't move my view forward anymore, it just makes things disappear when they get near my view. I randomly got it to look like it was actually going forward, but then it went back to the way it is now. It's not really 3D anymore...it's just kind of making things disappear.

How do I get it back to 3D?

I guess you put the scene view in orthographic mode. The easiest way to put it back in perspective is to click on the center cube in the scene view axis gizmo.

Thanks! It's doing fine now :) I can't believe it...I found that earlier when I was rotating my view and accidentally right-clicked on the cube...and I saw Perspective and thought of clicking it to see if it did anything, but I figured it'd be a waste of time and might screw something up, so I just went ahead and asked. Of course, it just had to be that one button I decided against clicking that was the answer to my solution...

Maybe you locked the scene . Check if the lock icon next to the direction cube is open or closed

That worked in my case. Thanks.
