how to import images with objects from maya
i know this is not the place to ask this question, but no one would help me on other websites. I import an FBX object from maya to unity but the textures dont work. i cant even open the textures.

Export the textures as jpg or png or psd or some other extension and then drag the texture into unity. Drop the model into the editor and the drop the texture onto the model.
Alternatively you can click on the material the model has to highlight it and then click on the texture property where you can select the correct texture from a drop down list.
If you're using a built in maya texture they wont always export into unity so best to grab a texture some somewhere.

You can also bake textures onto geometry. I don't think it works for procedural textures though. Hope this helps!
