How to get more control over Unity Remote?
I am going to try to give my full scenario.
The Project: I have a specific project where I must inside Unity create a VR game and display it on an android mobile phone which will be used with a cardboard.
The Problem: The phone I have to work with can't handle the application without lagging and we have limited resources to buy a new one. Lowering the settings isn't an option in this case as It's an artistic project more than a game.
Our solution idea: As this project is a demo and not a final-user-product we have discussed, in our team, the possibility of running the application itself inside editor in a nice computer (which we have) and then stream it to cellphone via USB (which just by the test run much more smoother than the previous solution but not as good as we need).
My questions: Should I use Unity Remote? (The downsizing of the streamed image really ruins with the quality level we are trying to achieve and not downsizing lags not solving the original problem) Is there any better solution than Unity Remote? Maybe some paid plugin? Does Unity provide some sort of Unity Remote source (I doubt it)? I don't mind having a lot of work but I wish to have more control with the Remote (or a remote alternative). It's this possible? I am seeking for a pointer to a solution rather than a concrete solution so I'm not sure if this should be in Unity Answers or Unity Forums
