How to create an advanced hover for character
Hi, I need some help with creating a 'floating' character that sinks slowly but never reaches the ground. I made a character controller that allows a sphere to move the the direction the mouse is pointing when the "W" key is pressed while in game. The game is third person perspective and I want the character to act like a wisp spirit like in classical mythology... Basically when the player isn't moving around I want the player object to slowly sink until it is only a few feet above the ground plane " not literally but in game space it will look like it sinking until it is only relatively close to the ground and then stop, as if it somehow is hanging from an invisible tether. Is there any way to do this?
