GUIButton press event takes to long to be called!
HI Guys,
I have simple scene with a complex model (near 50mb) and a GUIButton.
The GUIButton only do a simple Debug.Log("Im here").
When I click the button, it takes too long (3 to 4 seconds) to process click event. When I switch to a simpler model it process the click event right after I click the button.
How can I fix that? Is there a way to make GUI items have a priority or something like that so it responds right after the click?
Cheers,
Noel Rocha
When you say complex model, what do you mean? High Geo $$anonymous$$esh? how many triangles or vertexes is it.
Looking at Game Stats it shows me: Draw Calls:670 Tris:190k Verts:570k
its that too much?
but isn't there a way that my buttons still works when using this model?
Draw Calls:670 Tris:190k Verts:570k - is ways too much! read a bit here, especially "Polygon Count" http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/$$anonymous$$anual/$$anonymous$$odeling%20Optimized%20Characters.html

GUI.Button always responds to clicks that frame. If you're getting any noticeable delays, that means your app is running incredibly slowly. Optimize it so it runs fast.
