NavMesh agent snaps to wrong mesh
I have a navmesh agent and normally everythings works fine, but if I have a place where there is a mesh under the mesh - like in the photo where the agent is coming down a stair - the agent sometimes snaps to the mesh below. This is of cause causing a lot of navigation trouble. I can't really seem to figure out what to do about it, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Alternatively, I can suggest cleaning your NavMesh from inaccessible parts. I used the free
NavMesh Cleaner
asset for this: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/ai/navmesh-cleaner-151501
Cool thanks I have been wanting something like this before. Never really understood why you can't modify the mesh manually so you can remove inaccessible places. It won't solve my problem completely because I have some places where the mesh below is supposed to be there, but it will definitely help.
