Multiple Background Scroll - The best way to do it
Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to Unity (I already did some games with some tutorials, and I know the basics, but I'm into a new project).
My question refers to scrolling backgrounds. I already know the method that changes the offset of the texture, but I wanted to scroll different backgrounds (like 5 or 6) so that it doesn't become annoying, and the environment changes. I couldn't manage to do this with the offset, so I thought of spawning backgrounds (I'm using quads with material that contains the background as texture) above the camera and let their y position actually change so that it creates an endless motion (by the way it's a vertical moving background).
I already did something that is quite good, but I wanted to know if there is a better way. Have you any other Ideas that could be better than this? (I kinda feel that my way is like brute force creating every time a new instance of backgrounds).
