using animator without sprite renderer component
I have a UI image that shows the Player's heart and should play a special animation when Player takes damage but it doesn't work. I checked the animator window and it says the animation is running.
I guess it's because I'm using an Image component and not a Sprite Renderer (since it works with a Sprite Renderer), so am I missing something important here?

Ok, so on the animation you need to look at what it is actually changing on the keyframes. If you just drag in the images it will be a sprite renderer. Just click on them and see what properties they are editing.
So if it is on sprite renderer you need to go in for each keyframe and change the property it is editing to be the image component's image.
