Detecting when an XBox joystick is not touched
Hi, I have a question regarding the XBox controller setup. My issue is similar to "Stop The Xbox Joystick Moving From The Centre Position" but I can make my question much more explicit.
All I need to detect for my code is when the controller is inactive and when the controller is active (meaning at rest versus being moved in some direction).
Is there a specific way to find out that information?
by at rest, do you mean centered, or just held s$$anonymous$$dy at it's previous position? I'm not aware of any built-in functions for this directly, so either way you would have to read the axis values and compare them, either to 0 if checking for centered, or to some saved previous position if checking for "held s$$anonymous$$dy."
