Is it better to change a similar object's script between scenes for different functionality, or have the script provide different behavior between scenes?
My game is based off of pressing Buttons in the UI to send text input to the game. That works well until I get to a different level / Scene, where I won't actually be doing any processing of the text that the button is providing, it will have an entirely different effect instead (meant to mess with the player's expectations).
I was wondering if it is best practice to have the Button Script access SceneManagement and have branching logic that determines what functionality to do per scene, or if I should change the objects entirely between scenes, using different scripts attached to the button objects. Thank you for your input.
