Multiple Instances of Unity open up on one project

Hello Community,

for several weeks now I have a really strange issue with Unity. When I open up my Unity project with UnityHub, I get several Unity instances. In the following screenshot you can see exactly, what I mean. alt text

Firstly it began, as Unity simply opened two instances of the same project. Then it became four instances, then eight and now... I think you got the problem.

---- Unity Version is 2019.4.8f1. The OS is Winwdows 10 64bit Build 1903. Closing one instance closes all instances at once. Testing within the Unity Editor becomes nearly impossible since I have that many instances. The project is a 3D unified render pipeline project. What details else could be useful for troubleshoot this problem?
---- I tried to delete the Temp Folder without any result. The project is attached to a git repository if this could be helpful or necessary.
---- Does anybody knows about this issue and might help? It's driving me crazy. And sorry for me being too stupid to find out how to make line breaks here (Tutorial says pressing space two times and then return but this doesn't want to work for me)

Best regards, Julius

Additional infos: I reinstalled my Unity Version. Didn't help. I upgrade my project to a higher Unity Version (2019.4.18f1). Didn't help.

I also tried to create a complete new project but the result was the same.

I really don't know what I can further do. Really nobody here who might help me?

I did both, but it didn't help.

Update: It seems that my project or my account has been corrupted. I opened the project on a fresh installed untiy on another machine. Same result. Interesting thing is, that a complete new project (URP) also creates 16 shadow instances of Unity.

Does really nobody has any hint for a solution?
