How do you edit shaders in unity 5
Like the source code for them?
Your question makes little sense. Right-click in your project window and select Create > Shader. Then double-click to edit it.

You need an external program like: Visual Studio, MonoDevelop, Notepad++
I shouldve been more specific. I have all thise tools but hiw do i actually save the edits in unity? Every time i hit play it just resets itself
are you changing a default shader? if you are, make a copy of it ins$$anonymous$$d of changing the original?
