Spawn a platform that I know a player can jump to
Background: I have a 2D game that is very simple. A box jumps on a vertically moving platform. As the player lands on the first platform another will spawn ahead a little higher, and with a slight X variation. The goal is to the get the highest score by continuining jumping and spawning new platforms without falling off.
Question: How do I quality check to ensure that the distance in X and Y is achievable given the players mass, gravity, and the momentum (e.g. when the player jumps off of the moving platform that may be going up or down may have + or - velocity)? Thank you.
